Helping a Young Player Stay in the Game

A 13-year-old player named Sam (name changed for privacy) was close to quitting soccer due to financial constraints at home. His family struggled to afford registration fees, cleats, and transportation to practices. Sam loved the game but felt like he had no choice but to give it up.

Through our financial assistance program, we covered his costs for the season, provided new equipment, and worked with a local community centre to ensure he had a safe place to play.
Sam not only stayed in the sport — he became one of the most dedicated players on his team, even stepping into a leadership role with younger kids during clinics.

His coach tells us he now dreams of coaching one day himself.
